Herringbone Stitch Bracelets, Some tips, tricks, and pattern inspiration for this classic stitch!

I’ve been creating some fun and simple designs in classic, herringbone stitch. There are a few mini-kits for sale in my shop, and I have created patterns for them. Here I have saved the patterns for you to download and check out. More will be added I’m sure!

Update! Since I started teaching for John Bead with Michaels Stores, I have had the opportunity to create some basics videos! Here is a link to the Video and .pdf of a super-simple, flat herringbone design called Arctic Circles!

Color Block Chakra Band

This is one of my most-loved designs. With the encouragement of my friend Sharon, I finally moved the design notes for this bracelet from a post-it note to this pattern. This project was a stash dive, where I went through literally every seed bead color I had to choose from. The result is a wave of flowy, congruent color, easily customizable and really fun to make.

This next bracelet design is so Seattle! With earth tones and a cool, slate blue sky, the edgy hex beads in olive purple raku, chocolate leaf charm, and fire opal gemstone accent, it has all the Pacific Northwest feels.

Here is the pattern which has all the details!

This next pattern is a warm and earthy walk through wine country, with a collection of copper findings. My pattern describes in more detail how I worked the design without a side embellishment. I let the thread show on my step ups, which makes a silky bracelet with movement. No one ever notices the thread until I teach the stitch. Something to consider if you don’t have matching 15/0’s handy. Here is the pattern:
